The Hearst Art Gallery presents a two-day
Advanced Outdoor Painting Workshop
led by noted plein air artist Warren Dreher
Saturday and Sunday, August 16th and 17th 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Hearst Art Gallery is pleased to offer Warren Dreher's advanced painting workshop again this summer. The highly regarded landscape painter is also a teacher and curator who has exhibited widely; his work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Saint Mary's College collection.
The campus is nestled among more than 400 scenic acres, with the area immediately surrounding the Gallery offering incredible vistas.
Free parking is available next to the Gallery and Art Department or across the road in the Soda Activity Center lot. Warren will give an introductory session before the day's outdoor painting adventure begins. Painter Jim Whiteaker, the Gallery's preparator, will assist Warren.
Coffee, donuts and bottled water will be provided. Artists should bring hats, sunglasses, water, and lunch, along with portable stool, easel and art materials. Artists are welcome to work in any media they wish, including acrylic, oil, pastel, oil pastel, or watercolor.
