In the early 1980's a developer wanted to tear down the local theater, an art deco treasure from the 1940's.  I started painting it as a way to preserve it, fearing it would soon be gone.  I think I did a total of 12 or so paintings.  It was ultimately saved by citizen's groups and still stands today.  Here are three of them.
