Pam Glover
California Plein-Air Legend

.

.

I first met Pam Glover in 1989, when I co-curated an exhibition called "The Outdoor Studio" in Walnut Creek.  She is the person who introduced me to Granger Wharf Park in Martinez, where I continue to paint today.

I have always carried a camera with me throughout my painting career so I managed to capture a number of images of the people I painted with over the years.

First photo is Pam painting in December 1989 at a place called Hetty's Ranch in Northern California.  We spent most of the day painting the area.  She painted from the back of her station wagon, using a TV tray for her pallette.

The second photo is Pam with Laurellee and Suzanne Westaway at an opening for the Outsiders  at the Charles Campbell Gallery in 2005 .

The third photo is Pam at an opening for the Outsiders at the Triton Museum in 2005.  Her work can be seen just behind her, on the right

Pam passed away in April of 2010.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her and her paintings.
